I have friends at MyHeritage. I’ve known Daniel Horowitz and Shelly Dardashti for a few years. I spent plenty of time hanging out with them during RootsTech. I showed Daniel my genealogy program, which I wrote myself. He was upset I wasn’t using Family Tree Builder. I told him that it was still on my computer. I tried to open it and it crashed. So I did as I was told and downloaded the new version.

After installing it, I discovered a browser window that it had opened without even notifying me. That’s not a promising start, but it was pretty harmless, so I’ll overlook it for now.

I had once uploaded my GEDCOM into the old program, but it didn’t seem to exist anymore. But that was also OK, since it never worked properly before.
